AV Bible - 4 August 2004
------------------------------------------------------
This marked a total overhaul of the AV text engine. The
earlier design dated back to the BETA implementations. The
resulting library was file-based. This file-based layout
has been enhanced in the ensuing years, but it provided a
mechanism by which these texts could eventually be
released in SDK form to support any computing platform.

Bible Access - December 1992
------------------------------------------------------
The requirements for AV Bible was originally conceived
in 1992 with a two-page requirements document written
by Kevin Wonus. One of the main features was that it
would be free.
The original name was to be "Bible Access". Not long
afterwards, Microsoft Access was released. To avoid
confusion, the free bible program was renamed AV-1994
upon its initial ALPHA release.

AV 1769
------------------------------------------------------
A new edition of the AV 1611 bible was released in 1769
This new edition standardized the spelling but kept the
translation of 1611 in tact. While many bible-believers
claim that they have the AV 1611 bible, the edition that
they actually hold is the AV 1769. However, only the
spelling and a few corrected typos are what differentiates
the 1611 and 1769 editions. Otherwise, the editions are
the identical translation of 1611.

AV 1611
------------------------------------------------------
The original Authorized Version (AV) Bible was published
on 5 May 1611. This is the bible that many refer to as
the King James Version (KJV). This bible is the most
published book in the world.
